Camouflage Summer Look

Girls Gone Biker Camouflage Bandana Top

Just because I ride a motorcycle doesn't mean I always dress like a 'biker' – and I suppose that's the main inspiration for my clothing line and store, GirlsGoneBiker.com. My primary goal is to create cute clothing and accessories that are inspired by motorcycle culture and imagery, but at the same time I want to break out beyond the biker stereotype and offer cute products as well as inspire fashion looks that any woman would want to wear.

This being said, this look isn't particularly biker but I love it just the same. I think of it as a summery combination of camping, hunting and military. The Girls Gone Biker Skimpy Camouflage Bandana top can easily be worn with khakis, cargoes, jeans or shorts. Here I've paired it with Roxy High Seas Shorts in Dusty Olive, which I particularly love because of their slim silhouette and scalloped him with taping detail. The Lederhart Apocalypse Bag is an amazingly unique, hand made piece fashioned from a vintage German gas mask canister and embellished with hand dyed and braided leather straps and accents. Bring it all down to the ground with the Western Tina flip flop by M&F. With their camo print, sliver studs and clear crystals, these summer sandals add a little bling and a girly touch.

I've topped off this outfit with some hardcore, yet pretty, accessories. First, we have a one-of-a-kind leather cuff with brass buckle hand made from repurposed vintage leather from the Vintage Collection by Girls Gone Biker. Next, the Shoot Like A Girl Necklace by WoodenHive Vintage Silverware is made from a vintage silver plate spoon head and a real Remington 12 gauge shotgun shell! Given these tough wrist and necklace choices, the best earrings to complete the look are hand made Winchester 38 Special Bullet Post Earrings with Topaz by ShellsNStuff.

There's no way around it; this look shows the world you are a fun and sexy badass.

Denim Cruiser Riding Look

For those of you who love denim, this look features lots of blue denim combined with bright mustard yellow and tanned buckskin leather with brass accents.  These denim pieces are designed specifically for riding and offer the best there is in women's motorcycle riding gear.

The Girls Gone Biker Born To Do This women's motorcycle t-shirt is made from soft garment dyed cotton and has a relaxed yet curved silhouette for a casual, comfortable – yet sexy – fit. This women's biker t-shirt is also available in gray. Harley-Davidson's Embellished Wing Vest is made of a cotton/spandex blend, so it too also hugs all the right curves while offering an added layer of protection. Ugly Bros Twiggy Riding Pants in blue are made from a heavy 12oz denim and have detachable hip and knee protectors, so not only do they look incredibly stylish and fit great, they offer serious protection.

Who says you can't keep your hands protected while still being able to maintain total control of your throttle? With Lee Parks' DeerTours Tan Deerskin Glovestility, you can do both, while also looking great. Match them up with a super cool Outlaw Pack Thigh Holster Bag by Walnut Creek Couture.  Add Harley-Davidson Auburn Performance Boots and you've got all the leather you need to complete your look. For an added feminine accent and extra wind protection, add some Jersey Tie Boot Cuffs by Grace and Lace Co.

For those of you who live in the United Kingdom, you can top things off with the Nexx X60 Denim Cult Helmet. And ladies, don't forget to protect your hair in style! Keep you helmet pristine and your hair in place with The Designer Head Scarf by Girls Gone Biker. This sophisticated doo rag comes in a variety of colors and is made of the softest 100% cotton offering absorbency and comfort.

Oblivion Behind The Scenes: Jack's Moto Bike

The other day I watched the Tom Cruise movie Oblivion. It is beautifully filmed, action packed, entertaining and I enjoyed the plot... but my favorite thing, of course, is Tom Cruise's folding dirt bike.

This video shows the bike in action and showcases Tom Cruise's riding ability. Tom does his own stunts! He just may need an I Do All My Own Stunts T-shirt, available in a men's and women's version. Of course unlike the riders on the t-shirt, Tom lands his jumps.

The motorcycle was fabricated by custom bike builder Justin Kell of Glory Motorworks in Glendale, CA. His team skillfully transformed a Honda CRF 450X into the sleek and agile dirt bike of the future. Unfortunately, the motorcyle doesn't really fold up. Fabricated sections, models and special effects enabled the transformer-like morphing from suitcase to motorcycle.

Rock n Roll Biker Look

This is the first collection of many looks I plan to put together featuring great biker style apparel and accessories, along with where to shop for them in stores and online.

This collection is a feminine biker look that embodies the phrase on the T-shirt – Lace & Leather & Motorbikes & Rock & Roll – in a truly sophisticated manner. An off the shoulder, loose silhouette tee with a gathered drawstring sleeve turns what would otherwise be a simple cotton t-shirt into a seriously stylish and comfortable showpiece. Quilted leather jacket, boots and backpack subtly coordinate with each other while being functional for riding.  Finished with a textured leather cuff and topped off with a pink floral and paisley patterned face mask, you are ready to get on your bike, or look like you just stepped off of one.

Hello!

I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Olga and I am the owner of Girls Gone Biker, a women’s clothing brand and retailer specializing in items designed for the female motorcycle rider and enthusiast. That being said, I have plenty of interests outside of work, so I've started a blog to discuss them. I don't know where blogging will take me, but I'm sure it will be an interesting journey. Thanks for joining me; I hope you enjoy the ride!
